KS Build is proud to announce the completion and handover of its unit development project at 6 Merri St Templestowe Lower.

The result is a credit all involved.  Shane Peters coordinated the construction and was key to producing the high end finishes throughout the 2 units.

“Working closely with the clients was core to the success of the build.  We encountered several construction hurdles along the way which meant communication was critical.  I’m pleased to say that both Jack and Rick were terrific to deal with and understood any issues I raised.  We seemed to develop a mutual trust and working relationship and were able to work through them together to achieve this great result” Shane Peters said.

The project stalled at an early stage when excavation revealed a substantial amount of rock.  Not uncommon for this area but required some proactive thinking by the builder.  After working with the engineers to make several structural design changes, KS Build was able to produce an economical solution that had no influence on the overall design of the units.  Although on paper this extended the construction times considerably, KS Build drove the project to ensure its completion in time for the client’s marketing strategy.

“Having such a depth of talented trades people to draw from meant accelerating the works to meet our targets was possible.  We’ve done the same thing plenty of times before and were able to coordinate our teams here to maximise production” Shane commented.

Complexity of the design is a challenge KS Build relishes and understands that anomalies within the design may require discussion with the architect and client to recognise and overcome construction issues, as was the case with Merri St.

“By way of excellent communication channels being open throughout the build, we were able to discuss and work with the client to reach what is a fantastic product” Shane explained.
